Rue Bourdain history: Sanji was orphaned at an early age and was pretty much left to fend for himself. Because of that situation, he grew up knowing the value of food, and somewhere along the line swore to make food his life's calling. He started at the bottom and worked his way up, from dishwasher to apprentice to cook, eventually graduating to sous-chef in one of the restaurants in a certain hotel in Florence. His dedication to the craft and attention to the aesthetics of cooking caught the eye of the hotel's young owner, and when Dino Cavallone told him about needing a chef in the restaurant he'll be opening in Rue Bourdain, Kichijouji...

Piece of not-so-public knowledge number 2: Since he sounds like a thug and kind of smokes and fights like one people would think that he has a history with the wrong side of the law, but he'd be the first to swear otherwise. See, there was this really persistent stalker who really wanted a picture of him, but for some reason he's been able to avoid getting photographed despite being such a hunk, and that really persistent stalker started getting desperate and resorted to a really drastic measure. Sanji was able to slap a restraining order on the stalker before long, but not before the posters started circulating.

Now people mistakenly think that he's some kind of wanted convict.
